A Quick Recap

Boy! What a crazy couple of months it’s been. The whole of November was nothing but a blur as I ran around getting ready to move to our new apartment. Sorting and packing, moving things in on a daily basis and buying last minute furniture and fixtures. It was about this time that I really wished IKEA was in Penang (though, a few months earlier, I did pile as much IKEA I could fit into Lay Tiong’s Waja and we carted them all back to Penang. Thanks mate!).

Anyway, finally on November 29, my family and I packed up the last of our bags, loaded the car and happily moved in to our new home. The following weeks were spent settling down, decorating and fixing up additional shelves, stuff, etc…

Our joy was short lived however, as just barely 3 weeks after, we had a break-in one afternoon while we were out. They took my laptop, some jewelry and cash. :( I spent the rest of the day making police reports and doing everything I could in terms of damage control with regards to both my work and personal interests. It was upsetting and infuriating, and I couldn’t help but to wish the worst for the perpetrator.

Well, life goes on as they say. I met Kimberly some time early December. We started seeing each other and everything’s been getting better by the day. My family and I celebrated a wonderful Christmas and New Year here. So, I’m putting the past behind me and looking forward to a better and brighter 2008!
