Last night Kim and I had a very nice vegetarian dinner at Annalakshmi, a restaurant located within the premises of the Temple Of Fine Arts. I’ve heard good things about the delicious Indian food served here and finally got round to tasting it for myself.
We ordered
masala tosai,
stuffed phratha,
taufu and
mango lassi. The service was fast and all the food arrived within minutes. Soothing rhythms of traditional Indian music softly filled the semi-open air restaurant. It added a nice touch to the ambience as we tucked in the yummy food in front of us. Ahhhh, so it turns out what I heard IS true!

An interesting aspect of this restaurant is there are no prices in the menu. Customers are welcomed to order anything they like and pay any amount they like as a donation. The proceeds will all go to charity.
Anyway, the next time you feel like having some Indian food, come give Annalakshmi a try. Not everything is on the menu, so don’t hesitate to ask for other available selections. There’s also a buffet on Saturdays. Annalakshmi and the Temple Of Fine Arts are located at:
