Reduced Fuel Prices Announced

So, effective Saturday, 23 August 2008:

•  RON97 petrol RM2.55 a litre (down from RM2.70)
•  RON92 petrol RM2.40 a litre (down from RM2.62)
•  Diesel RM2.50 a litre (down from RM2.58)

The new reduced fuel prices were announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today after the Cabinet meeting.

Hah! Surprise, surprise… the announcement comes about 1 week earlier than expected. Undoubtedly, I think just about any one can make a good guess as to what might have motivated the decision to bring forward the price cut…
